Al6061ThermalExpansionEigenstrain
Computes eigenstrain due to thermal expansion for Al6061 using a function that describes the mean thermal expansion as a function of temperature.
Description
The mean thermal expansion data for this model was obtained from tabular data in the Committee (1990). This model is the recommended model in Rabin et al. (2020).
Table 1: Temperature dependent value of the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) for Al6061 (Rabin et al., 2020; Committee, 1990).
| T () | CTE (1/) |
|---|---|
| 20 – 100 | 23.2 |
| 20 – 200 | 24.1 |
| 20 – 300 | 25.1 |
