NekVolumeIntegral
Integral of a field over the NekRS volume mesh
Description
This postprocessor computes the integral of a specified field over the volume of the NekRS mesh,
where is the value of the postprocessor, is the volume of the nekrs mesh, is the specified field, and is an optional function provided by the function parameter. To be clear, this postprocessor is not evaluated on the NekRSMesh mesh mirror, but instead on the mesh actually used for computation in NekRS.
The field is specified with the field parameter, which may be one of:
pressure: pressuretemperature: temperaturevelocity: magnitude of velocityvelocity_x: -component of velocityvelocity_y: -component of velocityvelocity_z: -component of velocityvelocity_x_squared: -component of velocity, squaredvelocity_y_squared: -component of velocity, squaredvelocity_z_squared: -component of velocity, squaredvelocity_component: velocity vector dotted against another vectorscalar01: first non-temperature passive scalarscalar02: second non-temperature passive scalarscalar03: third non-temperature passive scalarunity: the value 1.0zero: the value 0.0 (this is typically used when combining with a function shift, to only apply the operation to the function)
Setting field = unity is equivalent to computing the volume.
If running NekRS in non-dimensional form (and you have indicated the appropriate nondimensional scales with the Dimensionalize sub-block for the [Problem]) then the value of this object is shown in dimensional units.
The function, like all quantities in Cardinal input files, is given in dimensional form. If the function depends on time, that time is either the time of the start of the next timestep (if using the default of execute_on = timestep_end), or the time of the current timestep (if using execute_on = timestep_begin).
Example Input Syntax
As an example, the following code snippet will evaluate the volume and volume-integreated temperature, pressure, and velocity magnitude on the volume of the NekRS mesh.
